G!RO teamed up with friends Jono Wood and Attaquer to create this awesome new shop kit tribute to our playground, the Surrey Hills... Wear this with pride as you take in some of our local loops and sip coffee on the G!RO sun terrace.

We've added a gilet to the range¬†for those chilly Autumnal days and the odd shower! They are from Attaquer's All Day winter range!

OUR NOD TO THE SURREY HILLS

To follow up our last G!RO x Attaquer Shop Kit, we have teamed up with good friend and designer Jono Wood to bring a kit that celebrates our favourite playground … The Surrey Hills.

G!RO is fortunate enough to be on the doorstep of the Surrey Hills which is an certified ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. This rural, and beautiful part of Surrey plays host to many riders throughout the year, meandering through the lanes, with rolling hills as the backdrop. This area also is home to a huge variety of wildlife, including a number of Birds of Prey.

One such species is the beautiful and majestic Red Kite. Once one the verge of extinction, thanks to a number of conservation projects the Red Kite is now very much flourishing in its natural habitat. With its distinctive Wide Tail, they can often be seen soaring in the skies above us as we ride through the Surrey Lanes.

Jono Wood has collaborated with G!RO and Attaquer to create a design that celebrates this beautiful creature and the Surrey Hills that it calls home.

We absolutely love what he has created, and are so pleased to release this to you! This limited kit will be in a very limited run, so be quick to avoid disappointment.

We are also pleased to say that for every kit sold, we will be donating £5 to the Surrey Wildlife Trust to support their work in conservation of the Surrey Hills and natural habitat for the Red Kites.

I FIRST GOT INTO CYCLING AFTER A PRETTY SCARY FALL IN SNOWBOARDING RESULTING IN 9 SCREWS IN MY SHOULDER. I NEEDED A FORM OF REHAB THAT WAS MORE BASED ON THE LEGS THAN ARMS AND CYCLING WAS THE OBVIOUS CHOICE.

WHILST LIVING IN KINGSTON I DISCOVERED THE DELIGHTS OF G!RO. IT BECAME A PLACE TO DO A LOOP TO GET A MORNING COFFEE AND THAT SAFE HAVEN AFTER A LONG RIDE IN THE SURREY HILLS OR TO BRIGHTON AND BACK. KNOWING THAT COFFEE AND CAKE WAS ON HAND AT THE TOP OF THE LAST HILL INTO ESHER WAS GREAT TO SPUR YOU ON TO KEEP RIDING

I BOUGHT MY FIRST PAIR OF ATTAQUER SOCKS WHEN THEY FIRST CAME INTO G!RO WAY BACK. COMING FROM A SNOWBOARD BACKGROUND INTO CYCLING I WAS LOOKING FOR A BRAND THAT WAS QUITE UNDER THE RADER. I SAW ATTAQUER AS VERY MUCH THE ‘ANALOG’ OF CYCLING. A BRAND THAT I RODE FOR DURING MY SNOWBOARD YEARS. NOT AFRAID TO TRY SOMETHING WILD BUT STILL KEEP THAT STYLE AND QUALITY. YOU ONLY HAVE TO LOOK AT SOME OF THEIR LTD KITS OVER THE YEARS TO APPRECIATE THAT.

SO IT IS AN ABSOLUTE HONOUR TO DEVISE SOMETHING FOR BOTH JORDAN AT G!RO AND ATTAQUER.

THE IDEA WAS TO GIVE A NOD TO THE RED KITES YOU NOW SEE THRIVING IN THE SURREY HILLS WHILST KEEPING THAT OVERALL ATTAQUER LOOK AND FEEL. SOMETHING RIDERS WOULD BE STOKED TO WEAR.
