This beast is Curve's take on the modern trail hardtail, fun, fast and thrilling. It's a versatile mountain bike that can descend, climb, jump and drift with the best of them! It will have you "fanging around like a frill neck lizard on hot sand."
The Downrock gives you raw, unrivalled adrenaline rush, especially here in it's adopted home in the Surrey Hills, with us at G!RO!! The most fun you can have in the mountain bike mecca nestled in the Surrey Hills!
Drop it like it’s hot
Designed around a short seat tube, to accomodate the latest and greatest super long travel dropper posts, making this bike quickly adaptable to a multitude of mountain biking situations! Spec with anything from 170mm to 210mm! Even more important, given this bike is a hardtail, so you can let that natural leg suspension, do it's thing, and let you get groovey on the bike!
Balanced
The bottle cage mounts sit low, bringing that centre of gravity down, which is important when tackling the kind of trails the downrock loves! It also means, pop a frame back in there, and you've got yourself a non-traditional bike packing rig!
Scaled Geometry
Some clever engineering tricks as ever from our friends at Curve mean the bike ride and handling characteristics don't vary between sizes! This is done by scaling the front and rear centres proportionally. This is especially important for riders with longer inseams as it prevents the saddle sitting too far behind above the rear wheel.
Re-route it
External routing means less fuss and hassle when maintaining the drivetrain, less noise and chatter, whilst maintaining the maximum integrity of the frame!
